Tucson is famous for its International Mariachi Conference, held each year showcasing mariachis from all over the world. La Fuente Restaurant is proud to be one of very few Tucson restaurants to consistently feature live Mariachi entertainment for our guests. Thursday through Sunday evenings our restaurant comes alive with Mariachi Estrellas de La Fuente. You will enjoy an exciting musical stage performance with our strolling mariachis.
Someone once said that a mariachi musical performance is as colorful as a Mexican serape. If you have never seen or heard mariachis perform, then you are in for a treat. Their music comes from the soul, romantic at times, joyful, songs from the heart.
Mariachi Estrellas de La Fuente features excellent musicians and they bring to La Fuente their own diverse backgrounds. You might be interested to know that in 1963 Jose Yebra, our trumpeter, appeared in “Fun in Acapulco” with Elvis Presley. Juan Aguilar, our violinist, has been playing professionally since he was 17. He is known for harmonizing his voice in the traditional Mexican bel canto style. Justin Enriquez began to learn classical guitar at the age of four and toured internationally with the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus. As a young teenager, Adan Gonzalez was featured in the documentary "Lalo Guerrero: The Original Chicano." Adan was personally chosen by Dan Guerrero to play Lalo Guerrero as young boy. Each performer has a story!
